Who this is for

For executives, entrepreneurs and professional athletes
whose public life leaves no room for what they carry in private.

  1. 01

The marriage ended. The house, the kids and your confidence went with it. You still run the Monday 8 a.m. meeting.

Whole again. Confident, self-respecting and at ease in your own skin, at work and at home.

  2. 02

You’ve lost a loved one or your best friend.

Lighter. The grief softens, and you remember them with love instead of pain. You have given those emotions a voice.

  3. 03

Carrying the weight of something you don’t know how to put down.

Free. You have worked through, understood and let go of what kept you in a box. You now have the tools to draw on whenever you need them.

  4. 04

Running on empty, still at the head of the table.

Rested and energised. A clear head, a calm body and real enjoyment of your work and your life, with a strategy and plan that put you first.

  5. 05

Single again, and unsure where to begin.

Confident and open. Ready to connect, have fun dating and find a relationship that feels like home.

  6. 06

Hit rock bottom, in a corner office.

Sharper and rejuvenated. Grounded, purposeful and looking forward to where your life is heading.

Enquire about the course

“All sickness is homesickness.”

“If all sickness is homesickness, the reverse is also true: all health is coming home. … There is also a sense of home deep inside ourselves, the most reliable home of all, the one we take with us wherever we go.”

Rick Hanson, PhD, from the foreword to Original Love by Henry Shukman Begin the way home
The Hero’s Journey

The Hero’s Journey is a framework that outlines the path of transformation. It appears in myths, literature and real‑life struggles, and traces the evolution of character through trials, victories and growth. It is the shape of the work we do together.

1

The Call to Adventure

Awakening to the realisation that change is needed.

2

The Ordeal and Initiation

Undergoing trials, confronting inner shadows and building resilience through hardship, knowledge and training.

3

The Return with Wisdom

Integrating new wisdom and skills into life, solidifying the transformation and stepping into leadership. Becoming a man your life can rely on again.

4

Repeat, over and over

Return to the learnings and keep growing, solidifying the changes each time.

Every journey starts with a single conversation.

The Modern-Day Samurai Warrior Course.

The samurai trained for one quality above all others: to stay steady and rooted, whatever chaos erupted around them. This course brings that discipline into modern life, for the boardroom, the arena and the home.

Work through it one-to-one with Janine, in person or online. You leave steady under pressure, clear in your direction and composed in any conflict, ready to show up in every relationship with purpose, calm and authority.

A lone climber on a Himalayan ridge at first light

Meet Janine

Janine Pezarro has lived through significant trauma, deep loss and crippling grief. Because of this, she has spent 26 years mastering the art of survival and pursuing happiness: climbing in the Himalayas, competing as a professional athlete, and completing numerous accredited master’s courses and training in teaching, somatic work, hypnotherapy and EFT. The learning never ends.

That pursuit has become a curated and expansive collection of practical tools, deep understanding and skills, which she uses consistently in her own life and with her clients.

Janine is not a therapist, and she won’t give advice unless you ask for it. Her gentle, empathetic nature creates a place of safety, but she will challenge the stories you have been selling yourself.

She believes talk therapy and other modalities have their place, and encourages every client to find what works for him. Her role is to guide each man to the answers already within him.

“You don’t have to arrive composed. You only have to arrive.”

Questions men ask
Shouldn’t I be able to fix this myself?

Every serious practitioner has a teacher. The samurai trained under masters for life. Asking for guidance is the disciplined move, and it gets you there faster than going it alone.

Is this therapy?

No. Therapy often looks back at what happened. This work builds forward, with structure, practical tools and accountability. It is not medical or mental health treatment, and if you need clinical support, Janine will say so and help you find it.

I’m doing fine. Is this for men in crisis?

This work is built for men who are functioning well on paper and want more from the next chapter: founders, executives and professional athletes. You don’t need to be broken to want to be better.

I’ve read the books and listened to the podcasts. Why would this stick?

Information was never the gap. Application is. One-to-one work gives you structure, regular check-ins and someone who notices when you go quiet.

What will I actually take away?

Practical tools you can use on an ordinary Tuesday: for the 3 a.m. wake-up, the hard conversation and the decision you keep putting off. You also leave with a code to live by, built on principles you choose.

I don’t have time.

Sessions are arranged around your calendar, in person or online. The work is designed to give time back: clearer decisions, steadier energy and fewer weekends spent recovering.

Is it too late for me?

No. Midlife is the right time for this work. You now have the self-knowledge and the resources to do it properly. Decide what the next twenty years are for, then build them on purpose.

Why a woman coaching men?

Janine has spent 26 years in demanding, high-performance environments, from the Himalayas to professional sport. Many men find it easier to speak candidly with a woman who isn’t competing with them.

What do I tell my partner?

You can describe it as leadership and performance work, because it is. What they will notice is more patience, more presence and less stress brought home.

Will I be in a group with strangers?

No. All work is one-to-one and confidential. Nothing leaves the room.

Should I wait until things calm down?

Things rarely calm down on their own, and the last few years of ‘later’ are part of what brought you here. The first conversation is confidential and commits you to nothing.

You do not have to carry this alone.

You don’t need the right words. A few lines are enough. Every enquiry is read by Janine personally and held in confidence.
